Wayne Mapp, MP North Shore

I am proud to represent the North Shore as the local Member of Parliament. It is an honour to be the MP for North Shore and to be appointed Minister for Defence, especially considering the strong established relationship between the Navy and our city, and in particular Devonport.

Every two weeks I publish the Mapp Report. This covers topical local and political issues. If you would be interested in receiving the Mapp Report or have any other issues please e-mail northshore@parliament.govt.nz 

In October 2010, Aucklanders will elect a new Mayor. They will also elect a single Auckland Council. However there is still a lot of work to be done. We have announced that there will be 20-30 Local Boards, but we are keen to hear from the public on the exact number and how these are structured.
